Bob "Frisco Sax" Gilliatt (Saxophones)

Bob started playing saxophone in his junior high school band, jazz band, and in various musicals.  After graduating from high school, college, family, and work sidelined Bob's musical ambitions. Then in 2001, he started playing again with several community bands.  A few years later, he began studying with saxophonist Ray Denise and Nat Simpson.  Eventually, he started to sit-in at local blues and jazz jams to gain experience and exposure.  As word spread, Bob obtained regular gigs with various rock, funk, and jazz bands including The Bedford Big Band, The Jack Welch Band, TT Power Trip, Booty Vortex, Boss Band, and Top Shelf.

Bob is equally comfortable on the tenor, baritone, and alto saxes. He has played along side sax legends, Miles Donahue, Gerry Bergonzi, Sax Gordan and regularly gets calls to substitute for various working bands throughout the Boston / New Hampshire.  He continues his musical schooling as a student of Miles Donahue. In addition to playing, Bob also provides private saxophone lessons to children and adults.
